Granola Breakfast Cups 

Our family is just starting to venture into the world of cooking with our beautiful oils. Adding essential oils to our favorite recipes makes it easy to incorporate their healthful benefits throughout the day - and the kids love them too! This is a recipe we tried this weekend and it was a real hit! We tried it on top of coconut yoghurt for a dairy free option and added some banana and raspberries. Great brekky or snack we all loved.

Servings:3–4          Prep Time:15 min        Cook Time:20 min

Ingredients
1 ½ cups old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 cup walnuts or almonds, finely chopped
¼ cup honey or pure maple syrup
1–2 drops Cinnamon Bark oil*
5 tablespoons refined coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups Greek yogurt
Mixed fruit

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325° F.
  2. In medium mixing bowl, combine seeds, oats, nuts, Coconut Oil, vanilla, honey, and Cinnamon oil. Mix well.
  3. Using a lightly greased spoon, firmly pack a few tablespoons of mixture into muffin tin or tart pan, forming 8–10 individual cups.
  4. Bake granola cups on center rack for 15–17 minutes, or until golden.
  5. Remove tarts from oven and press down again with spoon to re-shape while still hot.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then carefully remove cups and set aside.
  7. Fill granola cups with Greek yogurt and top with mixed fruit.
  8. Serve immediately for best results.
  9. *We only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils in our cooking and home.
